Inspired: A Mothers Touch

As of late I've been obsessed with interior decorating. Mostly because I love change and we recently had some change in our home. We've been redecorating and getting our place just the way we like it. A couple of weeks ago I was frantically trying to finish most of the decorating process before my boyfriend's family all came to visit our new place, for the first time. We had a family BBQ with mine and his family, so of course I wanted everything to be perfect (and it was!). That is a reason from my lack of posts in the last couple of weeks. I've been consumed by furniture shopping, art collecting, re-vamping and organizing.

I take my decorating inspiration from different places; design blogs, art, random finds and even fashion. But I've found myself mostly inspired by my Mothers aesthetic and how she put her home together (the home I mostly grew up in). Her home and decorating is all an eclectic mix of vintage, random finds, meaningful pieces and her own work. I just love it all!

I am so my Mothers daughter and am so proud to be... just look how cute her decorating is! And stay tuned for how her style has influenced mine, with my new home!
