DIY: Lady Gaga-esque Glasses

A few shoots back, Alysha Kelley and I had some great ideas about crafting our own accessories for the model. The shoot we were working on was for a theme of 'Post Modernism', futuristic ideas meet retro style. SO we came up with the idea of mixing futuristic metals/shapes in jewelry and accessories, while keeping the wardrobe more simple and retro.

On that note we ventured to the 99 Cent store (you can literally find ANYTHING there) and that night we created what would be the most incredible (and maybe a little dangerous) shades ever... oh and the shoot came out UH-MAZING!!

Materials:
Cheap (i.e. will easily break) Mirrors
Thumb Tacks
Hot Glue + Glue Guns
Old People Sun Glasses (people knew exactly what I was talking about!)
Hammer

using hammer, shatter mirror and carefully pick apart small pieces of mirror

just like a puzzle fit the mirror pieces together and glue as you go

the thumb tacks are a little simpler. just fit them together, glue as you go and be careful to not poke yourself!

voilaaaaaa

and the stunning final images (which were also featured on Ben Trovato, as I posted previously)....
